April 8 – 13, 2021
From our home at the Union League, one of the finest city clubs in the country, we will have extraordinary access to treasures of America’s first city. In the late 18th century Philadelphia was the second-largest English-speaking city in the world (after London) and the capital of the nascent United States. The cultural legacy left to us by this former queen city is immense: from some of the finest art in the country, to sublime private houses like Andalusia and Ardrossan, inspiration for The Philadelphia Story (where we’ll have lunch), to Carpenters’ Hall, meeting place of the first Continental Congress and the location for our candlelight farewell dinner.

An English Country Christmas
November 30 – December 5, 2021
There is possibly nothing more perfect than celebrating Christmas in the English countryside. And what could be better than spending it in a great country house surrounded by the finest art, roaring fires, and walks in a Capability Brown-designed landscape?! We’ll be based in Shropshire, where gingerbread was invented and where Charles Dickens’s grandmother lived, where our home will be the sublime Weston Park. There will be visits to Christmas fairs, a visit from carolers, a Christmas wine tasting at a 200-year-old wine merchant, a visit to Scrooge’s grave, and lots of other holiday goodies!
