Scotland Sublime: Great Houses & Gardens of the Scottish Borders

Scotland! The name conjures up visions of misty heather punctuated by divine, art-filled country houses and yards of tartan. And it’s all true! In June of 2015 an American Ancestors group traveled to the land of the thistle for an exceptional tour of some of Scotland’s greatest houses. In this webinar—part travelogue, part virtual tour—Curt DiCamillo will transport you to the luscious Scottish Borders and highlight some of the magical places the group visited. Highlights will include Robert Adam’s Neoclassical masterpiece, Mellerstain; Floors Castle, the fairy tale home of the Duke of Roxburghe; and Traquair, almost 1,000 years old and the originator of the Scottish Baronial style. And much more!
