    House & Family History: Between 1961 and 1965 William Ormsby-Gore, later 5th Baron Harlech, served as British ambassador to the United States, during which time he became a close friend of JFK and the Kennedy family. After the president's assassination in 1963, Jackie Kennedy and her brother-in-law, Robert Kennedy, both stayed at Woodhill as guests of Ormsby-Gore. The house, together with 156 acres, was listed for sale in 2023 for £4.5 million.
