  • House & Family History: It was at Winnington, in the late 19th century, that Brunner Mond, one of the forerunners of Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI), was founded. The partners, John Brunner and Ludwig Mond, lived in separate wings of the House for much of the last quarter of the 19th century.
