House & Family History: During World War II Westbrook was commandeered by the Canadian military, who vacated in 1946. In 2011 Westbrook House, together with 216 acres, was listed for sale for £20 million. Westbrook contains an Art Deco bathroom that was supposedly removed from a 1920s ocean liner.
House Replaced By: There was at least one earlier house on, or near, the site of the current 20th century house.
Collections: The contents of Westbrook House were sold by Sotheby's on September 19 and 20, 1995.
