House & Family History: Originally part of the Cluniac Wenlock Priory (today operated by English Heritage), the house that is today called Wenlock Abbey was converted into a private home in the 16th century during the Dissolution of the Monasteries. Little altered over the succeeding centuries, the house was gloriously restored in the late 20th century the artist Louis de Wet.
