House & Family History: Warnham was taken over by the government during World War II, then, in 1947, sold to Lambeth County Council; it subsequently became a convalescent home and then a school for children with behavior problems. The school closed in 1996; in 2001 the house and grounds were converted into 14 condo houses and apartments.
