Vale Royal Abbey

  • House & Family History: During World War II Vale Royal was requisitioned by the government; after the war Imperial Chemical Industries purchased the House from the Cholmondeley family and used it to provide housing for their Polish employees. In 1977 ICI sold the House to a charitable trust who attempted to restore Vale Royal. As of 2005, the House is a golf club.
