Notes: Hunter was a late 19th-early 20th century Scottish architect who practiced in Ayr. He was a pupil of John Mercer from 1880 until 1883 and assistant to James Archibald Morris 1883-85. Hunter was independent practice, in partnership with J.A. Morris, from 1885 until 1895. He practiced alone from 1895 onward.
