Built / Designed For: John Norris
House & Family History: The northeast part of the House, built in 1728 in the English Baroque style of Thomas Archer, has been attributed to four different architects. The West Wing is built around an early 17th century house that was remodeled in 1758, when the pediment was added. The crest of John Norris, who purchased the estate in 1725, is above the front door.
