The Doune of Rothiemurchus (The Doune)

  • House & Family History: For years The Doune was virtual ruin; since 1975 it has been undergoing an ambitious restoration program. The House was described by Elizabeth Grant of Rothiemurchus (born 1797) in her book, "Memoirs of a Highland Lady."
