Terregles House

  • Built / Designed For: William Constable-Maxwell

    House & Family History: Terregles was built for William Constable-Maxwell in 1789. The 10th Lord Herries (William's grandson) enlarged the House 1830-32. Terregles was demolished in 1964.

  • Garden & Outbuildings: The Stableblock, probably built in the 1830s during the expansion of the House for the 10th Lord Herries, is extant.
