Stretton Hall

  • House & Family History: The Leicestershire and Rutland Joint Board for the Mentally Defective purchased Stretton Hall in 1932 for conversion to a hospital. When the medical system in Britain was nationalized the NHS converted the House into a residential hospital for learning disabled children. The hospital closed in the 1990s and a housing development has been built on part of the site.
