Streatham Park Place (Streatham Place) (Streatham Park) (Thrale)

  • Collections: Sir Joshua Reynolds painted a set of portraits of leading literary and academic figures for Henry Thrale to hang in his Library at Streatham. Sitters included Dr. Johnson, Oliver Goldsmith, David Garrick, Edmund Burke, and the young lawyer Robert Chambers, the latter of whose portrait was auctioned by Sotheby's in November of 2004.
