Stafford House (Frome House)

  • House & Family History: Stafford is a house built of a pale gray limestone, with ashlar and rubble, with two facades: the east of 1633 and the west, by Benjamin Ferrey, of 1848-50. There is also a two-story gabled porch. During World War II Czech and Polish pilots from nearby RAF Warmwell were billeted here. The house is currently owned by the celebrated author, director, actor, and Oscar-winning screenwriter Julian Fellowes.
