St. Brides Castle (The Abbey) (The Hill)

  • House & Family History: The baronial St. Brides Castle was built circa 1833, incorporating The Hill (house), built in the mid-18th century, near the 17th century ruins of The Abbey. Beginning in 1990 the Castle was used as a hospital. Today it stands in 99 acres of mature parkland and is used as holiday flats, having undergone extensive restoration and conversion since being sold by Lord Kensington.
