Selsdon Court (Selsdon Park) (Selsdon House) (Selsdon Mansion)

  • Earlier Houses: There were probably a number of earlier houses on, or near, the site of the current 19th century house. In the 16th century Henry VIII is believed to have stayed here (as the guest of Sir John Gresham) while he was secretly courting Anne Boleyn, whose family home, Hever Castle, was nearby.

    House & Family History: Since the early 20th century the house has served as a hotel. In the autumn of 2023 Birch Selsdon Hotel closed; the house and 198 acres were listed for sale in December 2023.
