House & Family History: The Jacobean style manor house was built circa 1815, sold in 1871 and extended, and then in 1910 significantly extended when purchased by Rudolph Bruno von Schroder. During World War II Savill Court was used as a service hospital. In 1980 it was sold to Country Town Hotels for £850,000. It's assumed that the current Savill Court name is taken from the nearby, but unrelated, Savill Garden.
Garden & Outbuildings: The House is today set in 22 acres of parkland.
