House & Family History: Much of the look of Rushden Hall, as it stands today, is the result of the late 17th century alterations carried out for Robert Pemberton, a gentleman usher to Queen Elizabeth I. The House was purchased by Urban District Council in 1930 and has remained in public ownership ever since.
