House & Family History: Rowfant is a Late Elizabethan symmetrical house with a porch and gables. Inside there is a fireplace dated 1597, behind which can be found the remains of a late 15th century timber-framed house, around which the current house was built. There were alterations made to the House in 1759 and 1848.
