Rothley Court (Rothley Temple)

  • House & Family History: The first building on the site was a preceptory of the Knights Templar, to whom the manor was given by King Henry III; the preceptory was later was transferred to the Knights Hospitalers of St. John of Jerusalem. During the Dissolution of the Monasteries Rothley Temple became the private home of the Babington family.
