Rossie Castle (Rossie House)

  • Earlier Houses: The 19th century castle replaced the earlier Rossie House.

    House & Family History: In 1928 the roof was removed to avoid paying property taxes; most of the house was demolished in 1949, and, in 1957, the remains were destroyed by the army as a training exercise.
