House & Family History: In the 1920s, when Rosehall was owned by the 2nd Duke of Westminster, Coco Chanel (then the duke's lover) completely redecorated the House. Rosehall House has been unoccupied and abandoned since the 1960s.

Notes: Ross was a Scottish architect who practiced primarily in the 19th century. He was educated at Inverness Royal Academy and Bell's Institution and articled to James Ross of Inverness, whose practice he took over in 1853, when he began an independent practice. Ross was in partnership with Robert John Macbeth and John Alister Ross.
