Rockfleet Castle

  • House & Family History: Rockfleet is a 16th century tower house that is famous as the place where Grace O'Malley, the Pirate Queen, brought the kidnapped son and heir of Lord Howth to after she was refused hospitality at Howth Castle in Co. Dublin. The Castle is built in the sea; at high tide it very difficult to get in or out without getting wet.
