Riddlesworth Hall

  • Earlier Houses: There were two earlier houses on the site of the current house. The first was the Elizabethan seat of the Drurys, built for Sir Dru Drury, followed by the late 18th century house built to the designs of Thomas Leverton. This house burned in 1899 and was replaced by the current House in 1900, which was built around the core of the second house.

    House & Family History: Riddlesworth is noted today because it numbers, among its former students Diana, Princess of Wales, and her sister, Lady Sarah McCorquodale.
