Queensberry House (Queensbury House)

  • Earlier Houses: There was an earlier house on a different site that was demolished circa 1870. The current house was built on the site of the stables of the earlier house.

    House & Family History: The current villa, which replaced a proper country house, was built in the late 19th century as a lodge to host racing events. Because of its proximity to the home of horse racing, the Prince of Wales, later Edward VII, was a frequent visitor to Queensberry House.
