House & Family History: Standing in a former deer park close to the Church of St. Mary, Polstead is a large, white brick house with a balustraded parapet and a cornice. The interior contains fine 16th century wall paintings.
Garden & Outbuildings: In the Park are the remains of The Gospel Oak, which collapsed in 1953, when it was believed to have been more than 1,000 years old. A small oak tree now grows next to the place where the famous oak once stood.
