  • Earlier Houses: There were probably a number of earlier buildings on, or near, the site of the current house, including, supposedly, a hunting lodge of Owain ap Cadwgan, a 12th century prince of Powys.

    House & Family History: During the English Civil War Plas Ucha yn Eglwyseg was the home of Capt. John Jones, the regicide and husband of Oliver Cromwell's sister.

    Collections: Until the early 20th century Plas Ucha yn Eglwyseg housed a portrait of Oliver Cromwell by Lely.
