Earlier Houses: There was a Medieval manor house on the site of the current house.
Built / Designed For: Sir John Trevor I
House & Family History: During the English Civil War Plas Teg was sacked twice by Parliamentary troops during General Brereton's invasion of Flintshire, which was strange because the Trevors were supporters of Parliament. During World War II the house was requisitioned by the War Office and used to billet soldiers. In 1945 Plas Teg was sold to an auction company, who used the house for storage. Plas Teg is often cited as one of the most haunted houses in Wales; the most frequently seen apparition is the Grey Lady, an old woman who tries to cross the road near the house.
Comments: Plas Teg is considered one of Wales's finest Jacobean houses.
