Pitcaple Castle

  • House & Family History: Originally moated, the primarily 16th century Pitcaple Castle is today considered one of the best examples in Aberdeenshire of a Z-plan castle. Mary, Queen of Scots, visited Pitcaple in 1562 and Charles II was here in 1650.
