Overbeck's (Sharpitor)

  • House & Family History: The scientist Otto Overbeck, at his death in 1937, left the house and garden to the National Trust to be used as a museum. Today the museum displays late 19th century photographs of the area, model ships, local shipbuilding tools and other nautical artifacts, toys, shells, stuffed animals, and some of Overbeck's inventions, including the Overbeck Rejuvenator.

House Replaced By: An earlier house on the site was demolished in 1913 and replaced by the current house.
