Collections: North Mymms is famous for its collection of tapestries. The majority of the contents were sold for £2,396,000 at Christie's on September 24-27, 1979, including some of the J. Pierpont Morgan Collection. Alessandro Algardi's bust of Antonio Cerri was purchased by the Manchester City Art Gallery. Canaletto's "View of Greenwich" was sold for £140,000. Sir Joshua Reynolds's "John Hely-Hutchinson" was purchased by the National Gallery of Ireland for £26,000.
