House & Family History: Edward I spent the night of September 14, 1302 at Michelham. The priory was dissolved by Henry VIII in 1536, as part of the Dissolution of the Monasteries.
Garden & Outbuildings: Michelham features a medeival moated island, a 14th century Gatehouse, the cloister garden, a watermill, the physic garden, and the Elizabethan Great Barn.
