Melton Grange

  • House & Family History: Melton Grange is a red brick house in a Jacobethan Renaissance style with crenellated parapets and Renaissance gables. The house was, until 2003, used as a hotel, which resulted in inappropriate 20th century extensions to the rear and the far right. After remaining vacant and vandalized for some years, Melton Grange was converted into multi-house condos in 2008.

Comments: SAVE Britain's Heritage said of Melton Grange: "The elaborate stone and terracotta dressings of the long principal facade are remarkable."
