House & Family History: The Luttrell family line became extinct following the death of John Olmius Luttrell, 3rd Earl of Carhampton, in 1829. Queen Victoria was a guest in 1849 and 1900, when Luttrellstown was the seat of the White family. The Primwest Group acquired Luttrellstown Castle in 1983 and carried out a substantial restoration program, converting the Castle into a conference center.
