Low Gosforth House

  • Earlier Houses: Joseph Laycock purchased Low Gosforth for £28,600 in 1852, demolished the existing house on the site and built a new house in the mid-1850s. This house was destroyed by fire in 1878 and rebuilt.

    House & Family History: Low Gosforth was originally part of the Brandling Estate; it was later incorporated into the Melton Park housing development.

    Comments: House was known as Low Gosforth Court.
