Langton Hall

  • House & Family History: The Norcliffes, who owned Langton in the 19th century, were friends of Anne Lister, the subject of the BBC TV series "Gentleman Jack." During World War II the Guards Armoured Division used the estate as a base for D-Day landing preparations. For much of the late 20th century the house served as a school; Langton Hall is today available for holiday lets and for use as a conference center.
