House & Family History: Langley High School in McLean, Virginia, is a public high school within the Fairfax County Public Schools system. The school was founded in 1965 and was named in honor of the Lee family home in Shropshire. Thomas Lee was one of the first to envision the American colonies as a separate nation with its capital on the Potomac.
Garden & Outbuildings: The circa 1610 timber-framed gatehouse (restored in the 1990s) is extant and operated by The Landmark Trust as holiday accommodation.
