House & Family History: Longford Grove was a white brick three-story house with flanking two-story pavilions, complete with Diocletian windows, that were connected to the main block by small single-story links. The tripartite entrance doorway was very similar to those found in Bedford Square, London.
Comments: John Kenworthy-Browne and Peter Reid, writing in "Burke's & Savills Guide to Country Houses, Volume III," called Langford Grove "...one of Essex's best mid-Georgian houses."
