Built / Designed For: James Lamb
House & Family History: King George I was entertained at Lamb House in 1725; the Duke of Cumberland visited in 1757. Henry James, who lived here during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, is considered to have written the best of his later work at Lamb House. The House suffered damage, in the rear, during World War II.
