Kinkell Castle

  • House & Family History: Noted artist Gerald Laing purchased Kinkell in the 1960s and began the long process of restoring the castle, an experience he documented in his 1974 book "Kinkell: The Reconstruction of a Scottish Castle." During the 1960s Laing created some of the first and the most enduring pop images, such as his famous Brigitte Bardot image.
