House & Family History: During World War I the house was used as a hospital for wounded officers. In 1930 the Arthurstone Estate was purchased by the Society of the Sacred Heart, who opened as a girls' boarding school in the house. Kilgraston may have been designed by its owner, Francis Grant.
Garden & Outbuildings: The house is today set in 72 acres of grounds.
