Ken Hill (Snettisham New Hall)

    House & Family History: Ken Hill was built as a retreat or villa, not a country house, for Edward Green (1831-1923), a Yorkshire industrialist most noted today as the inventor of Green's Economiser. Ken Hill is considered a major provincial example of the Queen Anne style and appeared in the May 2, 1879 issue of "House Building News."

    Collections: The contents of Ken Hill were auctioned by Christie's on September 13, 1999.
