Earlier Houses: A Tudor house of 1567-74 was demolished in the 18th century and replaced by the current house, which was built on the site of the old summerhouse.

House & Family History: In 1967 Kelston Park was leased to the Methodist Church for use as a training center, a purpose it served until the early 1990s, when the estate was purchased by Andrew Brownsward, who developed the house into offices. In 2019 the offices closed and the house was vacated; in 2021 permission was granted by the local authority for Kelston Park to be converted into a hotel (as of early 2023 the house remains unoccupied).
