House & Family History: During World War II Jenkinstown House was occupied by the Irish armed forces. After the war most of the house was demolished, with the remaining elements left as a ruin. In the late 20th century the house was restored and rebuilt. In January of 2020 Jenkinstown House sold for €750,000.
Garden & Outbuildings: The Department of Forestry developed the house's former parkland as a public park that today features forest walks, picnic grounds, and the Garden of Remembrance (in commemoration of Thomas Moore).
