Hutton Castle (Hutton Hall) (Hatton Hall)

  • House & Family History: Sir William Burrell purchased the 16th century Hutton Hall in 1916 and set about restoring the castle and adding to it. He later founded The Burrell Collection in Glasgow, where the dining room, the drawing room, and the hall from Hutton Castle have been re-installed.

    Collections: Sir William Burrell installed some very fine stained glass at Hutton (today in the Burrell Collection, Glasgow) that he purchased from William Randolph Hearst.
