Hurn Court (Hern Court) (Heron Court)

  • House & Family History: Hurn is an Elizabethan house that was originally of two stories with outbuildings on the east and west. It was altered circa 1806 by Garbett and again circa 1840, with the addition of a third story to the main block and an extra west wing.

    Collections: Canaletto's "View of Old Horse Guards from St. James's," origninally at Hurn Court, was purchased by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber for the Tate Gallery at Christie's on April 15, 1992 for £10,250,000.
