    House & Family History: In 1953 Hinxton Hall was sold to Tube Investments, who used the house as a research center. In 1992 Hinxton was sold to Genome Research, who established the Wellcome Genome Campus, which was officially opened by Princess Anne, The Princess Royal, in 1994.
