Herrington Hall

  • Earlier Houses: Dated 1570.

    House & Family History: After having been seated here for many generations, the Robinson family sold Herrington Hall to William Beckwith circa 1795. The House was purchased by the Miners Welfare Commission in 1947 to be used as a rehabilitation center, a goal that was never realized. Herrington was demolished in 1957.
