Earlier Houses: The first house on the site, Huish Manor, was destroyed by fire in 1797. The second house, the focus of this record, was built circa 1800; this house burned down in 1932 and was replaced by the third (current) house, erected 1937-38.
House & Family History: The first house on the site, Huish Manor, was one of the largest houses in Devon. A large 20th century tractor shed occupies the site of the house today.
